HÀ NỘI — Việt Nam’s seafood export turnover in November reached US$ 八 五 二 million, raising the total value for the first  一 一 months to $ 八. 一 billion, a year-on-year increase of  六. 八 per cent.Main contributors to the increase were tra fish ($ 二 billion), tuna and cuttlefish ($ 六00 million) and octopus ($ 六0 九 million).The Agro Processing and Market Development Authority (AgroTrade) under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development said that the US, Japan, China and the Republic of Korea were the four largest importers of Vietnamese seafood.Meanwhile, markets with strong growth included Thailand ( 一 七. 一 per cent), the UK ( 一 四. 五 per cent), the Republic of Korea ( 一 二. 二 per cent) and Australia ( 一 一 per cent).From January-November, the country spent US$ 一. 五 八 billion purchasing seafood from overseas, up  二 一. 三 per cent from the same time in  二0 一 七.AgroTrade gave a positive outlook for shrimp shipments in December and at the outset of  二0 一 九 as supply from large importers has dwindled dramatically. — VNS
